    Good Friday morning :pccoffee:

I have an owl decoy and Johnny Stewart cassette caller with crow calls on it. Shot many crows with it. Crows are a huge problem downtown and several of my friends and I have a solution. City doesn't like the answer. They have spent more than $100K on other solutions instead  Lots of owls around the house all year.

The giant Canadian goose- branta canadensis maxima was thought to be extinct in the 50's. Then some FIB, Fucking Illinois Bastard, discovered a flock at the power plant lake here in town in the early 60's. They started a recovery program and now they are all over the country causing a problem. Thanks to the FIB. Giants make a larger thud when they hit the ground when you shoot them compared to lessers, that is how I tell them apart anyhow.

Lots of raptures around the house. Baldies

And a few too many hawks IMO they pick birds off my feeders all the time

Haven't seen a male ruby hummer in more than a week now they have headed South.

Pelicans will go next. Yep we gots Pelicans on the River

Pheasant counts came out yesterday for Iowa, Mn. and SD. All 3 are down 17% this year. Who cares worst day hunting is better than the best day at work.

But also starting to think have stepped in my last damn badger hole. Would rather be hunting ruff grouse. And think the dog would too. Check into the cabin on the North Shore in 3 weeks for the first trip this year.

Doggie gets tired by the end of the day but is one happy camper when he gets feathers in his mouth.

It is almost that time of year, the best time of the year.

Morning folks, got the day off, dentist appointment. Rain today, it’s feeling like fall, not wanting summer to be over. Enjoy your Friday.

I heard one of the area resident Great Horned Owls last night. One paid me a brief visit just as the sun came up this morning. Rare that an owl will make eye contact. I'm honored...

Sounds great to me Rob! Think the 2 of us should plan a cast and blast, actually been planning for a few years just need to do it. Only a couple of hours away from where I hunt in the Mn. Arrowhead is Lake Nipigon. It is the largest body of water fully inside of Ontario. Ontario stretches from Mn. to NY don't think a lot of people realize just how large it is, so it is a huge lake.

And is one of the best fisheries anywhere for lake trout, northerners, and brookies. Only 6 lodges on the lake it doesn't get much pressure and you don't have to fly into it. 7 hours from my house and can't believe haven't done it yet. Fish half the day and bird hunt the the other half.

Now this is a brookie like I have never caught before...

Supposedly should be able to limit out on birds in only a couple of hours there. With moose in your backyard not a big deal for you but they also have a large number of 60"+ moose running around.

We should make a plan to do it...

Man, I'd love that! Got to spend money getting grandkids back on track next few years ... but I'd sure put money into a trip with you there. It's definitely on the list. :fistbump:

    You wanna kill Mike?
