Since I'll be removing my fender liners for the 35s that are going on next week, I'm going to reroute my air intake so I don't pull a Joe. I am not a fan of snorkels, and this is a much cheaper alternative. This is what I ordered and what the finished product will look like.

Why are you removing your liners? I still have mine.

 

So I can fully stuff my tire. I plan on doing the same thing I did with my 295s. Remove my coilover, and use a floor jack to lift the tire up into the wheel well. Then clearance as needed. My 295s cleared by a hair, and even on a really hard front hit, they’d barely touch the liners.

I can fully articulate my tires right now and not rub, and that’s the goal for the 35s as well. I’m trimming my fenders as we speak.

We did, took a shutter off our house. Still plenty of wind and rain here.

 

Only taking about 1” off. With my 295s fully stuffed up, they don’t touch the fenders. With the new tires only being .5” larger radius, taking 1” off the fenders is plenty. Painted the edges and just need to add trim.

I would just come out of the cowl area and use this as a snorkel?

 

That's the idea. Pull air from the cowl area instead of being exposed in the wheel well. A lot of other people do this as well with second gens. It's a cheap alternative to having to buy a snorkel.
