Where did find that? I'm in Portland as well. I used to put non ethanol in my boat, but it was pretty expensive.

I often found it on the outskirts of cities. But I was near Corvallis, so I can't tell you about that area.

Will the beta for 04b30 be dropping soon? Got a long trip early October to test it out.

I guess it depends on where you are, but it shows multiple stations have it near me. In reality those locations have VP racing fuel in a can, not pump gas. $30/gal is pretty steep to be putting in the taco, lol!

While up here in BC the truck has been enjoying 94! I’m on MT’s 2.0 beta 93. Only thing missing is low end emph, but yes I know it’s just a beta.

Still, $4.13USD per gallon has me okay with E10 87 here for about $2.85. If E0 was less than $3.25/gal and close to home, I'd be all over it.

But, Canada has some other benes.

I hear ya! I figured probably only here for 2 months, what the hell, only live once. Never found 94 in the states, so at least I have a top end baseline on fuel variable to compare to. :)

There nothing wrong with that. I always wanted to try a tank or few of 94 in our turbos. I tried 87 once in each for giggles. The ECUs chuckled, said NOPE, and I suffered through a tank of lethargic acceleration with some newly minted low pressure turbo.

It's been a month and I am back. So anyone got their dump tube and installed yet? Any sound clips?

    Guys,

Now I have about 400 miles +/- on the latest 2.0 and have a few observations.

Shifting up through the gears seems great, but my mileage has taken a bit of a hit. I was getting about 19 and now I am getting about 15. I live in Fl, so everything is flat as a pancake.

I think the mileage hit might be due to it not wanting to hold 6th when at highway speeds, 60 – 75 mph range. It drops to 5th very often and then my mileage goes down. Holding speed at 70 in 6th seems tough as it drops to 5th when I am just trying to maintain my speed. Accelerating seems fine though, if I want to hammer it and push it faster.

Maybe I just need more miles? Any advice is appreciated even if it is just “put more miles on it”.

I have not cleared any values, but I'm considering going back to stock until the next update.

    Thoughts?

PS. sent to zendesk as well

Definitely put more miles on it. 2-3 tanks of gas is what it usually takes to settle in. Also, even if you don't think you are, a lot of times you have a heavier foot playing around with the new found goodness. Initial feedback is good to have, but give it some time.

@OVTune , any word on when ups will up and running again in your area after the bad weather. Checked my tracking number I got on 8/30 and hasn't moved yet.
    Thanks :hattip:

    agree, give it some time.

with this truck you can wildly swing the mileage numbers based on subtle driving habit changes. if you have been driving as you have been and are getting 15mpg, then try to keep roughly the same speed and performance going, but consciously use as little throttle as possible to do the same work. it took me quite a bit of time to relearn how to drive it, but i have watched my averages go from 15-16 overall to 18-19 overall. a little extra foot, not really even enough to notice, will eat 2-3mpg right off the top.

    @St.Germain & @lapoltba

Thanks very much for the advice.

I would say that I am driving it exactly as I did with 1.05 and before. Mostly just take it easy tbh.

I do know what you mean by the wild swings and try to be mindful of my foot on the pedal.

I will indeed give it another tank or two before trying anything else. So far, unfortunately, I haven't seen it start to rise, but hopefully it will.

Yeah, I went back to the first 2.0 87 octane GL tune also, my truck definitely shifts better with it , just feels overall smoother than the latest 2.0.
