Hello all. This is my first post. I'm interested in finding out what brad of step bars you have installed. I bought my husband a set for Christmas last year and we had to return them. They touched his mud flap and he said they didn't fit right. Any suggestions? He has a 2014 Tacoma Double cab. Thank you all!

If you live where they use road salt in the winter as I do, I would recommend an set from Toyota. (I have their running board style on my 2014 and am very happy with them.) Generally speaking, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts have a much more corrosion resistant finish on them and will last longer. If you don't have to worry about road salt, let's see what everybody else recommends.

I have Smittybilt Nerf Steps black powder-coated - same as the N Fab pictured in this post - DON'T buy if they salt the road where U R - mine R rusted out - I think the SS was $100 more - should have gone for it - at the time I thought the black would look better, still do looking at the picture but a waste of $$ - rusted out quicker the a Tacoma frame.

Your top picture looks like you have something on the bottom part of your body to protect it from rock chips, etc... what is that?

Vinyl wrap, it’s been on for about a year and a half.

Yes, I travel a fair amount of gravel road during deer season and it gets plastered with a lot of snow, ice and salt in the winter.
