Looking for fairly easy way to cover/replace my chrome bumper caps. What does everyone think about matte black bumpershellz?

I plan on wrapping mine in matte black vinyl. I watched a vid about the caps and they cost over a hundred bucks- if you have sensors, even more.

Won't vinyl wrinkle as you put it on?

Plasti-dip.......~$8.00 +/- a can. Two cans at the most needed. This is what I used.

It is in the back, and can be easily touched up if needed. I did my grill and surround a year ago......so far no issues.

Plasi-dip last longer the more coats you put on. I've used it for years and have had lots of learning experiences with it. Dont cheap out and put on just 3 or 4 coats. I usually go crazy and put 8-10 and it last 4-5 years for me before I see any chips or fade

My bumper shellz took 10 minutes to install and look awesome, I got the TPO style, it matches the center of the bumper nearly perfect,, if you have the money then I highly suggest going that way.

I'll let you know! I plan on using a heat gun to stretch and persuade it around the curves.

I just picked up some black TPO ones for a good price and damned if they didn't almost match the factory bumper perfectly. Looks like it came right from the factory this way. Took about 5-10 minutes to install and I didn't even peel the backing off the double sided tape. The 3 clips on bottom and tabs will hold it in place no problem.

I didn't want black, I wanted to match my Quicksand so buying the caps was a no brainer for me. I think the tpo black covers look better than plastidip, but that's just my opinion. I'm not a fan of solutions that look blatantly DIY.

Like several others who already posted, I really like the look of my tpo bumpershellz. They are definitely worth it. They fit great and took ~10 minutes to put on. I didn’t want to keep worrying about plastidip. upload_2019-9-6_20-40-55.jpg

I bought the SR ones. Factory part and matches the OR fenders perfect.

I like my TPO bumpershellz. Fast and easy to install, no chance of breaking other bumper pieces, matches the rest of the black OR trim. I recommend.

Is TPO the textured black TPO?
I was thinking matte black would probably match the bumper pretty well...
