    thats most peoples issue...they get some nasty old rutty buck thats been laying out over night then they get to field dress it by afternoon the next day, then they wonder why the meat doesnt taste good...

    Preparation is key I guess. I had a partridge go from dead in the garden (hit a window) to table in an hour. Found out later that marinading overnight is in order. Could barely slice the breast meat let alone chew it! Better luck next time.
