    That's true. I did forget to mention i was home for Allison during vacation. Ended up driving out through hours of flood waters. Later dated an Allison. She was PSYCHO. I think that's when this list really started. Lol

    Looks cool man! Definitely pops
    I almost painted mine to match the truck with duplicolor MGM spray paint. I held off because I’ve never painted over greasy dirty plastic. I’m sure there’s some sort of prep and primer that should be done first.

    @Easthill Bob you ever done anything on plastic? TIA

    It was snowing so pulled in garage and prepped with mild soap and some alcohol wipes. Masked the center area. Already had the @rrentrop blue decals. Then picked up a TRD black decal. Hardest part was masking the "v". It really stands out at night with the under hood lights on.

    Your taco looks great! have you seen a big difference in the change of the bulbs? I'm looking at changing mine, possibly going to HID or LED.

    @Deathdealer

    With Duplicolor? No. The thing about plastic is that some plastics are attacked by some solvents.
    I would think that Duplcolor on fender flares would be fine.
    As far as prep work goes that's where the rubber hits the road. Prepping is paramount to a good finish and cleanliness is next to Godliness.
    Would "I" use primer on plastic fender flares or bumper end caps using Duplicolor ? Probably not. If they had a textured finish I'd make sure they were clean and wipe with a micro cloth and denatured alcohol then paint. If they had a smooth finish I'd probably wet sand with 400 grit wet and dry paper then clean as previously mentioned.

    ** Important **
    I have painted quite a few vehicles and lots of parts over the years and had good results but I AM NOT a professional autobody guy!

    The one thing I've learned with very few exceptions is that shortcuts usually means a shitty end result.
    Good luck! :thumbsup:

    Edit: couple drops of dish detergent in a small bowl of water if using the wet & dry paper.

    My very first words when I saw ours! Seeing all this weather related horror is no longer "NEWS" to those that have experienced it firsthand. After that it's heartfelt for the others that are living the nightmare!
