I had the same headunit and audio would cut out constantly. Laggy at times. Weird audio issues. Fits perfect though. Freezing etc. returned and went back to stock, plus running dual cams on stock setup and cant on this

Crutchfield.com - Put in make and model and it will show you all the options that fit, give you free instructions on removal and install, and free quick adapters/ harnesses if needed. Also their customer service is excellent!

So I went with the pioneer nex-8500 which is the flagship model from pioneer right now. Pricey, but it does everything. Including wireless car play and android auto. Hooks up to the OBD2 port to give you real time monitoring of your engine info and tire pressure and temp. A few other things too like rpm, speed, trans temp, 100-0 braking, 0-60 speed etc etc. Has build in maps that actually work very well. Can be used with front and rear cameras, hot spot. The list goes on. Let me know if you have any questions about it

I wouldn't base my decision on a single post, many users here have used the Joying HU without a single issue me included, so if it was having issues like stated above, it was most likely a defective one, which all manufacturers have.

I have tried 3 Android HU and it's the most stable and best working of them all.

I have the JBL system. Doesn't like the amp cuts it constantly. And went through 2 headunits with same issue. Others on here with the JBL had the same issue. The non JBL works fine with these

Do you retain control over the radio via factory steering wheel controls and still able to access all the mini display aspects?

Every single stock control works. You'll need the maestro RR device. But everything works as it should. Also no need for a brake bypass because the head unit has build in software for override
So you can use all functions when the vehicle is in motion.

Got my Kenwood DMX905S from Crutchfield with all the goodies. If you want a front camera it supports is flawlessly!

How do you like it? I installed my 8400 and a month later they released the 8500 as their flagship.. A few updates on the 8500 but I think the 8400 is a solid HU. Does miracast work with iOS or just Android?

Mirrorcast only with Android. But I have both android and apple so it never bothered me. My only complaint is switching between screens and options has a delay longer than I expected. No issues other than that

On the plus side. I have a friend that works at the place I got it. So I get a discount. I also got a 3 year protection plan that he can swap on the last year for whatever new unit they come out with. I'd just pay the difference if there is one

Do you get to keep the factory info between the gauges? Like tire pressure and stuff.. disregard! Just read all the other questions people had for you.. lol

Yes. My 2013 never told me individual tire pressure or temp. But now I have both. And its accurate when I checked with the gage.
