Do you guys that have done the FF meet get together and convoy up?

 

We try to... at least those of us that come up from my neck of the woods. In the past we have met up in Waterbury, at the McDs on exit 25 on i84.

Wish I could come to FF just to socialize but have a training on Sunday and my wife gave me a kinda blank stare when I mentioned being gone all weekend. Best to all and have fun!

 

Installed TRD Skid Plate today. After stripping 2 of the 4 bolt heads I brought out the torch and heated each bolt, they then came out with no issues. Thinking there must have been some sort of chemical lock used when installed. Let me know what you think. Here is a before and after ... Come on, it looks like it could roll over anything .

Driving to MSG isn't too, too bad on the weekend. Last time I went with someone that drove, we went down the Merrit Parkway and (worst part here) had to get on I believe 95 before the GW and exit off right before the bridge onto RT 9. Followed that along the river down past the Intrepid and cruise ships. Took a left at the Jacob Javits Center and then a few more turns to MSG. There's a parking garage across the street on one of the sides of the building. Narrow and low ceilings but the car was there when we returned. When I have to go to NYC (which isn't often), I take the train. Actually, I've gone to Boston more than NYC. I'll say it: nicer city, doesn't smell like piss and you don't have that grimy feeling when you leave. But I'm a true New Englander and have this natural unpleasantness toward that place.

Think about driving to New Haven, parking at Union Station, taking Metro North to NYC Grand Central Station, and a Subway to the Garden.(Don’t take Amtrak.) You can easily do that from East Bridgewater, the day of the event. Check the schedule, but I think the last train out from Grand Central to New Haven is about 2:00am. There are lots of hotels in the New Haven area along the RT 95 corridor. Or, party at the show, Uber to a nyc hotel and take the train to New Haven the next day.

 

I haven't been to N.Haven train station in years, maybe decade(s), but the idea of getting off a train at 2am into an empty parking lot...
I can't support that idea.
