If you can afford a Ferrari it isn't illegal to not run a front plate, it just periodically costs $130 to do it.

And in my experience, putting the front plate on your dash not only looks dumber than having it on the front of the car, it's basically a beacon for the cops to notice you aren't running a front plate. That, and it's a nasty injury waiting to happen if you get in a wreck.

front plate technically needs to be on the front most part of the vehicle. if a cop wants to play hard ball a plate on your dash can get a ticket too.

Well in the fucking moron who deserves to be pulled out of his truck and beaten category for today...

4 way intersection, guy across from me has like 20 sheets of plywood in the bed of his truck. Under the plywood he had some more wood (2x4's or something....enough to have the plywood be higher towards the cab. His light turns green and the dipshit just floors it....and all those sheets of plywood slide right out and into the intersection. Dipshit pulls over to I assume collect it all.

Thankfully (well sort) there was a few cops tending to something else like half a mile up the road. Had no problem slowing down and telling one of them what happened and watched him hop in the cruiser. One thing I have zero tolerance for is unsecured loads. Call me an ass or whatever but fuck people who dont tie shit down. Both the fiance and I have had things (me some cribbing and the gf was a steel plate) hit us in the past. Thankfully both of ours were just broken windshields.

Damn thats rough Jim, but I completely agree with you guys.

Fyi I work downtown Seattle and haven't had a plate for 3 years. If you park on the street the meter maid will ticket you for no plate 155.00 last time. Its the only hassle I have ever had. My rear one is bolted to the pinch weld on the bed about 6inches in. Since I bobbed my frame to the shackle mounts, I have only been talked to once and was let off. The cop was building a wheeler as well and understood I also dont ride dirty anymore so I could care less.

Fabbed up a new winch mount, for when I go offroading. Thinking about a lift and tires next.

Anyone know if there's a supercharger kit for a 4cyl flathead continental with propane fuel?
