After 3 weeks of owning her I knew it wouldn't stay stock... so yesterday I did 5100s all the way around with OME 885 springs on the "0" notch and Kicker speakers. Kicker tweeters from the Subaru, kicker CS 6X9 fronts, 6.75 rears, Kicker Key amp, sound deadening, and a no name 8" under the seat sub (for now) that I've had for a while sitting in my garage.

The pic is of the truck with the 5100s and springs installed. I didnt take pictures of the speakers or under the seat amp as its been covered a lot on the forums.

Tips: for the speakers, order from crutchfield. They provide the mounting adapters and wiring adapters which is nice. Pricing was competitive too. Do spend the money on sound deadener material.

For the kicker Key Amp, just take your time when building the t harness (search for the thread)

Suspension: I had a friend compress the springs and throw them on the front struts for me (time saver!) I had read that you needed to remove the sway bar and links for the install, this was not the case at all. Make sure you mark the lower arms (bolts) so that you can put it back in the same settings, it is still recommended to do an alignment after.

That's the info I'm looking for. I have swapped out my rear shocks already but knew doing the front might be more involved. Is your friend close to London? I need one to compress my front coils.

You are right, some mod info might be repetitive but for newbies it might be easier to find if the info exists in more than once is this extensively informative thread.

Negative he is in the states in California sorry. Yeah your right about the info being easier to find if its posted multiple times. I'm a complete newbie to tacomas, but I have a history if doing car mods. I will always say, don't rush the installs as that leads to mistakes which cost more money and takes more time. Do the research over and over again and even when you are doing the install have that info on hand to reference.
