    One of the coil pack gaskets was missing on this 1GR. And it wasnt my fault either. Coil pack had dirt on it to suggest their hasnt been one for quite some time. Real headscratcher.

    Napa has em though.

    My trusty harbor freight ball joint press. It was really on there. I tried a couple of times to just use the press but after it flew across the room a couple times I decided to put it on nice and tight and then tap the ball joint with a small hammer. After a few tappy tap taps it popped apart.


    And yeah the grease looks old. And the boots have small holes in them from dry rot. I'm amazed, the joints themselves feel pretty good.
