Well, the camp sites are non refundable and the weather is going to be perfect. So we will figure something out.

I can bring my programming cable, and laptop... just need cell phone access so I can download from radio reference databases, and repeaterbook for your local repeaters/frequencies.. CHIRP makes this stupid easy.. can even program in GMRS, and FRS frequencies (although you are not supposed to trasmit on them- fcc rules..)

Chirp is the way to go on programming that damn thing. Good little radio when equipped with the Nagoya 1/4 wave whip.

I think most of us are planning to get out to the campground sometime Friday and get on the sand Saturday AM.

Before the storm nearly half the beach was open. From what I heave heard, the storm was not very impactive on the beaches. I am hoping some of the closures are to keep people away from the rip tides.

My wife had to work this weekend so I invited a co-worker along. We plan on trying a couple shore fishing spots Friday.

The weather looks pretty perfect for this time of year however.
