Most of the DNR ranges (or at least the one I go to) has a skeet station.

The DNR Range I go to in Jeddore does not allow shot guns, centerfire rifle only. I would love to try my hand at trap shooting. Bought a used 20g single I want to use for grouse this year, that would love to try out. Also need to sight my 308 in, but I think i need to buy a new scope for it first.

I wish there were more long range ranges. Ours has one 100 yard and thats it. I know the one outside of halifax goes up to 400 yards but thats a long drive from the valley.

Power's flickered a few times - had to keep restarting our movie this afternoon! This guy came down around 10am, used the taco to pull it off the house so I could cut it up safely :D20190907_105315.jpg

Yeah, it was already damaged I think. Scary thing is you can see a crack in the trunk behind it too and the wind hasn't peaked yet :(

We lost power at like 1130am in the valley. Tree from the neighbours yard already damaged my truck before the storm even hit

Oh that sucks! My wife's car is parked at the neighbour's away from any large trees but my truck is in the driveway just waiting for damage. I just fixed all the stone chips in the roof too

    How did everyone make out?

Barely any leaves off the trees here, I've got power again, only lost it for 9 or so hours while I was sleeping ahahah

    It's like nothing happened.

Never even lost power. Lot of leaves in the yard though and the neighbour's tree has a rather large branch dangling into my yard that I'll have to fight or how to get down. Biggest impact for us is the Cineplex is closed and we're supposed to be having a kids birthday part there today o_O

Edit: figure out not fight lol. Not far off though!

Just got power back (I hope). Lost the top of one of my big pine trees. Borrowed the neighbours chainsaw and took the opportunity to take a few more down.

Anyone got recommendations on a chainsaw? My Dad's got a husky 42 Special that is amazing. I guess the modern saw is the 440. I don't want an underpowered saw, but I also don't want to overbuy for that I need. Basic stuff and maybe clearing trail offroading.
