I forget what you're doing exactly...replacing a head gasket? Or was that someone else on here that had one go bad

Going to remove the cylinder heads. For head gasket

 

No wonder your girlfriends grumpy, look at them small fingers

 

No need to sand bare metal. Wipe real good with paint thinner/mineral spirits, then 3 coats self etching primer before the color coat.

Ah even better then. I'll just clean it up real good with some acetone and hit it with self etching primer first

@Running Man , i may have solved my blasted sport bucket seat issue
been fighting the crack crack crack for more than 4 months now!
i will have to do some trial and errors and see whats what

Thats how Ive always done it anyways. If theirs any weld splatter you can knock it off with a flathead screwdriver and hammer. Self etching primer should make it rough enough for paint to adhere no problem.

Just like this, I don't have a cover on my throttle body perse...but the cruise control, cable, brackets, etc. are all silver bolts.
