I know they are really no better than the originals but my leafs are 10 years old and must have sag by now. My big question is, are the new leaf packs multiple leafs? My original pack is like 2 leafs only.

they should be the same as your stock ones, I think they're a 4 leaf pack? I have a 2015 and my rear is already sagging. have new leafs in the garage waiting to go in!

If I remember correctly, you should get 1 more leaf spring.

The old ones were 3 Total. 2 + 1 Overload
The New should be 3 + 1 Overload.

There’s a smaller spring underneath the larger ones you’re seeing. It’s an overload leaf spring. Here’s a pic of the old packs vs the new.

All recall springs are 3+1 with 4 clips.

For some reason the US ran 2+1 a lot longer than Canada. We had very few of the 2+1's here.

Yep those are what I have. I am surprised I can haul any weight with those bra straps for a suspension.

Just a thought. There are spring shops around here, "Their business is springs", they can tell you what you have, why it's failing, & what it will take to remedy the issues for the long term. The dealer will sell you what is in his parts book, he may be a spring expert, but I doubt if he is. And then there's the price, Most times the dealer prices aren't very reasonable, even if the dealer is your brother-in law. Good luck.

Well these are free and I figured at the very least the dealer will break any frozen nuts free so if I go Dakar it will be an easier job.

My '11 had the recall already completed when I bought it, and had 2+1s on it. I double checked when I saw them, hoping I could get free 3+1s installed.

Pretty sure in researching, I found a PDF of the recall info with the updated 2+1 part #, and a separate one for the rough ride TSB, which had a part # for the updated 3+1 leafs.

It's entirely possible that most dealers decided to use the updated TSB springs when doing the recall, just pencil whip something about the customer complaining about ride quality if needed... if I were installing parts that corporate is paying for, I'd be getting the customer the best ones they'll give me.

I just read the US recall and you are right, only the rough ride tsb gets 3+1.

All US vehicles that got the campaign done in canada got 3+1 haha.

Mine were replaced with 3+1 packs.
Nothing said about rough ride by them or me or notes on paper work.
My local spring shop had leafs made up and ready to go for Toyota’s and gems.
The 2+1 spring pack would break a spring every year one side then the next.
So far the 3+1 packs have lasted.

My service rep ordered the springs without seeing my truck. So it seems they don’t care what it originally had, they must have one part number they order for the recall.

I just got new springs on my 07 about 6 weeks ago, they have 4 leafs. My factory ones were fine, no sagging and no complaints. I took my truck in more than 2 years ago and went back every few months since. I wasn't particularly worried. I can tell no difference in anything

I mean, if it were me, that's what I'd be doing (assuming I can get away with it)... everyone gets the slightly better springs!

I was mildly disappointed that the recall opportunity had been squandered on my truck. But I got a cheap set of 3+1s, it gave me a chance to take my time putting the AAL pack on them (and painting the leaves where I'd ground off clamp rivets) and goop all the bolts with anti-seize, so in the end I probably made out like a bandit hopefully not dealing with cutting bolts and having to replace bushings one day down the line.
