I feel like my rate of fire with a 42 would be faster since it's a smaller round. I'll look into the Shield since I'm not a big expert on guns

.380 vs 9mm is pointless in a subcompact. The recoil is near the same. Better ballistics with 9mm in a short barrel.

 

If it had an aggressive slide then it would look good. The mag well and extended mag is like putting Bushwacker flares on a truck with skinny tires.

.380 out of a smaller gun has more recoil to me than 9mm out of something slightly bigger. I had a .380 for a week and sold it. I hated it

I want to experiment with various caliber guns. We own a 556 DPMS carbine, 9mm Glock 19, and 22 Snub Nose revolver

 

Except It's functional here. I could go 30-rounder.

Get a .38/.357 revolver in a big frame, .45 ACP steel gun and a super heavy 9mm steel handgun. Get a .30 caliber bolt action for cheap long range or get crazy with wildcat calibers in various platforms like my 6.5 Grendel AR15
