Are there any Soviet AK's?

 

The Soviet Union was Pre-1986 so I'd imagine some are full auto if any exist here in the States

 

Super rare. They exist, but mainly Vietnam-era and earlier, so only bring-back.l rifles. Very rare.

 

Full Auto or just collector pieces?

 

Did you ever confiscate or seize any guns from the terrorists? If so what do they mostly use?

 

Never available in full auto. It was always a semi auto, but the Russian government began standard issue of the AK in the late 40s and used the SKS to arm their allies while keeping the AK a "state secret" until after the Vietnam war.

 

So the Viet-Cong and North Vietnam military only used semi automatic variants?

 

Semi auto ak variants, full auto ak variants, a few stolen M4s, some WW1 and WW2 era bolt actions. Most of the time it was Pakistani, Iraqi, or Saudi produced AK/PKM variants.

 

Yep, most of what they used was Chinese produced SKS and Mosin-Nagant variants. Late-war they had Chinese and Russian AKM variants as Russia was transitioning to the AK-74 and the AK-47 cat was out of the bag.

We did confiscate an early Enfield in .303 British. Pre-WW1

 

Probably got scavenged from a British soldier fighting against the Turkish Empire during WW1

 

I assume those M4's were also scavenged from US troops

 

Yep. We found multiple black powder-era British muskets, but most were non functional. It was the dudes with recent Soviet-tech that we fought.

 

Yep. Either lost because some dudes are idiots, stolen because some dudes are idiots or taken off of dead bodies.

 

Are there some guys who lost their guns just because they're idiots? Sounds like something I'd do in combat

Losing an M4 is costing the taxpayer like $2k? I don't know how much a full auto Colt carbine plus accessories costs...

 

Yep, and i smoked a guy (made him do a lot of physical exercise) for misplacing his helmet. Happens all the time, although mainly to garbage soldiers or not combat dudes/dudettes.

I heard a story from a 101st airborne guy where they forgot one of their own soldiers and he had to make it back to base alone because he got lost. Shit happens.

The semi auto variant of the exact same rifle is about $900 for a civilian. A 40-year-old M16 reciever is at least $16k for the same civilian
