What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

If I could buy a home for that price, I would have already...many times over.

 

Last winter I decided to get back in shape, I’m 38. I’d been out of the gym for 3 years. I hit the gym 3-4 nights/week and cut out all extra sugar intake. Went back to eating a rounded clean diet ( WITH CARBS ) because your body’s gasoline is carbohydrates folks. I lost 36lbs of fat and then gained back some lost fat lbs with muscle mass. I’m now 6’3 tall, weigh 210lbs and I have 13% body fat. Fad diets are NOT healthy at all and quick fixes are trash. Did I mention I’d been on blood pressure meds for 2 years ?? Guess what !?!! Now my BP is perfect and I got taken off my BP meds about 3 months ago. Set goals , work your ass off and fuel your body with what it needs. No supplements except for some extra protein powder in the mornings because I’m having to eat around 10k calories/day to hold my weight now. Muscle turns into a fat burning machine so I’ve gotta eat a ton so I won’t lose weight now. Good luck

I know you hate all things California Bob, but Dove Season is in full swing here. We’re getting limits almost daily. Also, we’re seeing big quail coveys of 50 plus birds after above average rainfall this past winter. Of course, you have to be fit enough to hike where they are. Good job on the weight loss. Might consider throwing in some cardio as well.

 

Check out Arizona or Texas! You can still get a decent home for that kind of scratch! I know Seattle is expensive just like where I’m at. $100K won’t even get a studio condo around here! More like a down payment on something that needs “a little work”.

Finished installing my Taco Tunes System 1 upgrade. Also installed Kilmat sound deadening on the doors and rear wall.

$107k doesn't even buy you a decent home that's not a major shit box in most major metros in the midwest. I'm not talking a palace, but a 3 bed 2 bath. We're in another housing bubble and people have their blinders on again

 

I washed the Taco today including the bed and bed mat but I'm not posting pics, that's just silly.

 

And not even 2 weeks of the first clay bar and wax the wife spray paints 10 feet from my truck and it’s covered in coral overspray....

 

Damn dude I can relate. At least ya know what to do.

 

Was hoping to not due again for another year though. Lol

 

When my wife does things like this, I remind her of her famous comment - "you think I'm stupid", and ask her what should I think.

 

Seems to me a lack of communication. Nothing gets painted at my house unless there is a discussion about it 1st. Then I can take the necessary precautions in advance. No one thinks of overspray until after the fact and the tears are flowing.

 

Although I installed the soft tonneau cover quite some time ago I thought I would mention this mod. I installed a length of foam pipe wrap on the cross members to prevent flapping and possible pre-mature wear of the vinyl cover.

 

I got the majority of it. Does the clay bar take off the wax too? Not trying to wax too. Haha. My wife’s car was also close and didn’t get as bad. I used some old turtle wax on hers and I used what I thought was a better wax (Meguiar’s ultimate paste) on mine but the overspray stuck right to it and seemed to wash off of the turtle wax.
