So my truck camper weighs in at about 1100lbs loaded and “wet”. The first time I took it to the dealer with this camper on it the service manager wouldn’t let it on a lift because they only had “car” lifts available. The three big lifts that had all had long term work going on and weren’t available.

I rescheduled and had them note I required a truck lift. They did an oil change and rotated my tires. Though admittedly the tech was very cautious and only had my truck up about 6 inches when he did the tires. The concern the shop has was it is rear heavy and they didn’t want it flipping over backwards and destroying my truck and camper, or worse hurting anyone.

Going forward I’ll prob have my oil done at a garage with pit since that’s easier, and I’ll just rotate my tires at home since that’s not big deal for me.

    Just my $.02

But no dealer should care as long as it’s safe to do.

    Thanks.....

I didn’t build it, just bought it. It’s not my first wedge camper but it’s my favorite.

You should be fine for space if you're worried, newer dealerships have really high ceilings.

If you are going in because of leaf spring issue or shocks are blown or anything with weight being an issue they will blame your camper shell is to heavy and caused the issue! I had a recent issue with my front actuator was informed by service manager and shop manager that my lift and larger tires and added lighting caused the issue and refused warranty work! Then wanted to charge me $2300 to replace the actuator didnt happen argued with them to tell me how this caused the malfunction , pretty much just repeated lift, tires and lighting! So had it replaced for $280+ $160 for a new actuator from a private owned shop. Dealers suck! Rancho Santa margarita Toyota

It's the cross beam on the lift you have to worry about. That's what got the rack on my F150 the tech ran it into the beam while lifting it

I know a girl going to Rancho Santa Margarita location for her heavily tuned tacoma all the time.

I thought that that dealership is okay,,, but it sucks like all others. I need to be careful about warranty parts when dealerships bring out bunch of BS.

    I will make sure that.
Cross beam can be a potential problem... I’m learning a lot here.
