Ok where is the most beautiful place you have been, that has to be on everyone's bucket list?
My vote is for Lake Tahoe. I love this place.

I don't really have a bucket list. The military was good enough to send me to some really beautiful areas and countries (whether I wanted to go or not). I count myself fortunate for that.

I loved Germany, even though I really hated it when I first got there. But one spot that always struck me as oldly beautiful was a section of the old Hof border. Soft meadow, beautiful stream, big trees and then, if you did an about face, there was the fence with some ugly white washed building with a narrow gage train with armed guards and a manned guard tower. I often thought how hard it must have been for the East Germans to have that view and not defect...of course we all know how that whole story turned out.

That pic is from Kallmunz, not far from Hohenfels.
Back in '98 ,we took a ride to Weimar.
Crossing the old border was like..white to black. Poor roads, coal soot on the houses.
