    @b_r_o, I burned through a quarter tank in 28 miles. What maintenance do I need besides air filter and spark plugs?




    I had exactly 3 quarters of fuel at 56,900 miles and when I looked down at my gauges I noticed I had just hit 2 quarters with 56,928 on my odometer

    If you're wondering about mpgs you really gotta pencil it out over a few tanks. Just going by/looking at the gauge needle isnt really accurate

    You know about filling up the tank till it clicks off, resetting the trip meter and then refilling again to get the necessary numbers right? It'll require math lol

    But maintenance wise there isnt much you can do other than keep filters clean and replace plugs. Your tires arent that big.

    I assume the check engine light isnt on right?

    Yes the light is off. It doesn’t make any noises, runs great, but it’s the mileage that took a mysterious hit. I’ll calculate it over the next fuel ups and come back with a solid MPG number

    That makes me worry.. we're towing a camper trailer to Houston in December and im trying to calculate fuel cost. Its a 5,000 mile trip, at 15 mpgs im looking at $1,500-2,000 in gas. At 7-10 mpgs we could be spending 3 grand :eek:
