You sounds like a CMC playa. Bragging about all those trucks you have chopped.

It’s weird to hear you and desertjunkie talk about fitting 35’s. I run 37’s now and wouldn’t have to hack as much to get them to clear.

The only place I rub with 37’s is the firewall (with LT though). I’m pretty sure I can’t hammer than problem away. Full travel up and down they clear full lock in the front they clear. Just not at the firewall.

Like you said. If you are happy that’s all that matters. I just drive around the rubbing for now because I’m lazy. :D

That’s what I did on mine, I set the UCA caster at +1 I think, I have to look at the picture and then rotated the Cams so the axles shifted all the way forward essentially.

You can adjust the SPCs while on the vehicle but they shouldn’t need a lot of adjustment.

Yeah I’m not doing any serious crawling. I definitely go offroad but I’m not doing Jeep stuff and I’m not doing pre runner stuff. Somewhere in between.

    Then 35’s are fine.

There are plenty of people here with 3rd gens and 35’s that go off-road all the time. The grand daddy of 35’s on a third gen @90yota offroads all the time.

Worst case you might get a little rubbing here and there. If you can live with that you are good!

I’d never go back to smaller tires now after having 35’s and 37’s. Well I might go back to 35’s but that’s a different story.

    I'm here for the gangbang!

You are going to rub no doubt but unless you tub you'll just have to be content with the minor scrubbing. As far as wheels go I run scs's not so drastic deep dish(4.3 bs) but without wheel spacers I found myself rubbing the frame at full lock. So now I run 1in Bora spacers to clear the frame but now I rub the wheel wells at full flex.

I haven't really read the thread but i assume you are regearing as well.

Sweet man, yeah your build is one of my favorites for the sheer fact that you and your wife have kept it relatively simple and wheel the shit out of it. I didn’t think 37s would be possible without going LT. gives me hope to some day join the club on a budget lol.

To be honest, I do too. I can never tell what people are talking about because it has 2 different numbers lol..

I did this. Can’t really see it but it’s basically pointed directly at the coilover.

    Check My Sig.
I never said bump stops are inappropriate. I said they generally limit travel. The way I see it, if you’re running OE fitment coil overs and within those restrictions you’ve only got 4.7ish” of stroke in a shock to make all of the magic happen. For easy numbers, if I use a bump to limit .5” of shock travel, I’m loosing 1” of wheel travel, being the Tacoma is pretty close to a 2:1 ratio to my knowledge. So, although it’s apparent that we view the importance of suspension travel differently, what are you willing to sacrifice? Or more specifically, what is acceptable travel to loose to fit a bigger tire? Everyone has their own approach and desires. My goal is to fully cycle my suspension with a 35 which I know will require additional work and I’m willing to do so.

I’ll take you up on that offer when I can make it up there. Not because I dont think you dont wheel. It’s very apparent you do. I just want to make it your way to check out the areas some day.

Thanks! Now I need a new alignment shop because the last place couldn’t align their own legs if they tried.
