Yep regear is definitely going to happen. I expect to get a little rubbing. I think most trucks that aren’t full LT or Prerunner builds are gonna have some rubbing somewhere. This is a daily driver that I take camping and go wheeling with. Not a full blown desert racer or rock crawler by any means.

So option C, pull the cam tabs, and only have them align the camber and toe.

As long as you know you'll have minor rubbing and ok with it, you'll be fine. I don't do anything hardcore but I'm aware of its limits. One of the reasons I want to sell my truck now.

More or less, the cam tabs wont be perfect as you have to make some adjustments but they should more or less face outward in the front and inward in the rear. Camber is a little more work with the big top bolt on the UCA but toe should be easy.

No selling, you just add to the fleet. I'm rebuilding my YJ :)

I like the sound of adding to the fleet but my wallet doesn't haha. I want a cab over camper and a diesel to tow my 4runner tho :anonymous:

I would really like to go with a 16" wheel, but is there any real disadvantage to going with a 17" wheel other than not being able to find one with 3.5" backspacing?

A perk of 17" is it opens up your options to larger brake calipers if you ever feel the need to upgrade. The new 4runner brakes are a straight bolt on for me (pretty sure you too) and those need 17s.

So using the Tacomworld Tire calc, the 295s are actually shorter than 285s. The KM3 and Toyo MT only come in a 295/70/17 which I am not totally opposed to its just that they are only a hair wider and a half inch shorter.

IDK man. You sure you'll be able to concentrate on wheeling with all that rubbing noise you'll be surrounded by? lol

295's are bigger. I don't know where you are in Cali but if you want to try some 295's I've got a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 295/70/17 that I pulled off my rig when I went to 35's.

Hmm, yeah, I’ve thought of adding an XJ.. or just selling the taco and buying a Jeep.. or just keeping the taco and making the best of it, my wallet likes option 3 lol.
