It is that way at every race now just about. Talladega still fills up pretty good

I did the Hof tour a couple times. That was in '84-'85. All those old pictures are in a box somewhere. Some day I'll go through and scan a bunch. I'd never had the pleasure of Hoenfels. Graf, on the other hand, we got pretty intimate with rebuilding or maintaining those tank trails.

Back after Dale Sr died, I wanted a pic of him, but everything of his went up in price to where I could not afford one. I can draw. So I drew this one. I worked at a printing place at the time and the boss let me print some off to give away to people like me who could not afford one either. One man knew a guy who ran a vendor stand at Talladega and showed him my picture. He liked them so much he bought 25 of them from me. He bought frames for them, took them to Talladega and sold everyone. I aways felt good about that.

What's his merchandise worth now? My wife was a huge Gordon fan. She's got at least 2 jackets plus a bunch of other stuff.

I've got quite few newspaper articles and magazines from his tragic accident and 1/24 and 1/64 scale diecast cars as I'm a big Dale Earnhardt fan

Thanks. The coolest part about that is there are drawings of mine in peoples homes here, there or somewhere. I always thought that was neat.

I always like him. He had attitude. Race drivers have to have attitude to win. He could go overboard sometimes, but I reckon we all do. Loved Steve Park. Damn shame what happened to him. That wreck with Dale Jr. was also the beginning of the end of Jr's career too. To many damn concussions.
