Do lights in the garage count as tools? Lol my garage only had a single light in it when I moved in. Been here for 8 years and just started adding these $30 Amazon led lights to brighten it up a bit. I've added 4 so far. They're plug in and you can connect them to eachother. Plugged them into a wireless remote so I can turn them all on at the same time.

Yes, yes they do. Can't use other tools if you can't see what you're doing.

Are those the Sunco lights? I put six in mine.

I went from one shit fluorescent plus the garage opener 40W:

To 6 of the Suncos, plus another type right over the bench:

These pics don't even do justice, because the phone camera reduced exposure on them.

Lights are absolutely a tool. Helps you see stuff. That was my first house mod.

They're OOOLED 42W 4800LM light from Amazon. I've currently added 4 but I want to add 3 more. Just buying them randomly one at a time lol. And yeah it's hard to show how much they truly light up the garage in pictures. Just a few more and I'll be happy.

Milwaukee Fuel heads, have a question about the difference in the Fuel and the Fuel Surge stuff. Is it worth the loot for the Surge features? Looking at Model# 2760-20

    Thanks in advance.

The way I’m reading it the Surge option reduces internal metal fatigue to make the tool last longer between rebuilds. I don’t put together metal buildings or the like so I don’t know if that’s going to be a concern of mine but the difference in price isn’t alarming but like everyone else I’m trying to save some loot for either extra or, larger capacity batteries.

I was way off and after digging deeper found more details. Runs cooler, quieter, holds torque longer, plus other additional features. I’m in for one.

I’ve been a diesel mechanic for about 17 years and worked out of a falling apart Craftsman box for a lot of those. I bought this a few years ago as a reward to myself and to be the last one I’ll need until I retire, 20 some years from now. I currently work as a mechanic for a school district. My home setup is a couple of random small boxes, but this brings home the bacon.

They are hydraulic tools. Its just a different way of operating. The motor compresses oil to make the "impacts" instead of the traditional anvils. So they do get all the benefits of being smoother, quieter, nicer to hold. But they generally arent as powerful as a traditional anvil type.

For the average home user....either will work just fine.

This guy actually does a decent job show casing the surge vs regular Milwaukee's (plus the makita) and gives some of his real world pro's and con's to them. Mind you his use is as a builder doing pole barns.

Picked up the 4' 5000 lumen LED shop light today since they had a coupon bringing it down to $23. Easy to hang and puts out a TON of light.

I shortened the pull chain so it doesn't hang so low but I think the original pull chain is maybe ~40", which is nice in case you hang it in a higher ceiling area.

So I was cruising Reddit yesterday at lunch and the question "What is the adult version of the often joked about "Free Candy" on the side of a van that would make you get in?"

One of the top responses: Snap-On

Thanks man! I actually sold my house in July, really missing the garage right now. Hopefully the next place we buy comes with a bigger garage if not I'm gonna build one :D

I used to be able to squeeze my wife's car in too but wasn't practical to do on a daily basis. Then I got another motorcycle and out grew the space lol
