Still, sounds like you've got a lot of backups and extra cash when you need it. Which is good. I don't have options like that. Uber is possible but not sure I'm right for that

Yea I am.lucky to have options work wise for the most part, most of my adult life the jobs I have gotten have been because people knew me. Or through contacts I have made.

Think I have only had 2 jobs I applied for. One was Walmart. And I had people who came in and found out what I did before offer me.better jobs. I was there about 90 days before I found something else.

I like trying new things and have done alot different kinds of work in my life.along with a wide range of hobbies and interests have made for an Interesting knowledge and skill base

 

We mine lead and zinc but get some silver after it leaves the smelter. We crush it here and float the heavy metals off and then dry it and make a concentrate. Looks like gray heavy dirt. We sell and ship all over the world but a majority of the zinc goes to China. All lead goes to our smelter in Trail Canada

 

That's really cool. I have only had a few jobs. First was subway, then McDonald's as a teenager then Albertsons, motel 6 housekeeping, then back to albertsons and then a manager from Walmart came through my line and told me I was awesome,etc. and to come see him. I was probably like 22 years old at that time. I was pretty unhappy at Albertsons so I took a pay cut to get a set schedule. I got several Merritt raises and good yearly raises and been there ever since... only hobbies I have weren't beneficial really, except darts. I traveled and played world tourneys and won some money here and there but usually just broke even. Was a big part of my life and also probably why I never did anything with my life. Played from 20 til about 37 years old or so. I tried welding once, kinda liked it and was told I was pretty good for my first time but never went anywhere with it.

How did you get into it?

I hope the pay is really good considering it's probably a high risk job? Is it considered dangerous or bad for your health in any way

What you do there

 

So you farm cause you love it but you have to work a full time job in order to work your butt off at home and farm?

 

Operate 6 boilers that provide steam to four turbines and also sell steam to local industries close to the plant. We also have a gas turbine and two jet turbines. I’m a foreman now but I started at the bottom. I’m ready to retire!
