i am going to carry my ratchet and the socket (14mm i think it was) with me.
maybe a rubber washer between the metal washer and seat frame can help absorb some of the movements i make while driving

my truck seems to throw a hissy fit i guess because of the age
the bolts were removed a certain way and were not put back in the same way they were taken out
i think all this is driving me to need prescribed psychotic medications!
all i know is before they were removed it never made this awful unpleasant squeak, i feel it all the way up my back on the left
just trying to troubleshoot before going another route for a fix

i thought this was going to work out ok but no way are these going to last how cheaply made they are!

my blue gray OEMs weigh a guesstimated 3x more than these awful made 'OEM' fitted mats from Camelback

    Just out of curiosity...

A little rust on the rope hooks bothers you.
Some rust on your lug nuts bothers you.
The bolts on your seat bother you.

But the wrong color of floor mats is fine?

its not the color per se, its just so my feet have an easier time to relax on the long journeys, I drive sock footed when I don't have to stop for hours
they discontinued my color of floor mats! so I went with these tan/oak they had in stock still thinking they would be the SAME QUALITY as what i have had
this is what the backs look like for comparison

its missing the whole heavy duty rubber backing on the right one
even the side stitching is bad to say the least!
    '97 floormat oak 3.jpg
just a little creature comfort for my feet is all i wanted, with the Tacoma brand
maybe I will need to look for some comfy Husky mats! along with some all-weather mats for the winters and other messy times.

and the seat bolt(s) are definitely a nuisance and very hazardous to drive sometimes with the one not secure if it was the root cause of my seat problems
maybe the heavy duty rubber washers can help fix it!

If you don't like those mats and want something different, I'll take them off your hands. I need some oak mats like those.

i will have to call Amanda @ Camelback and see what the deal is.

my lug nuts are just wrench worn and corrosion resistant blacks, but now I am not sure if i would get the same exact ones ordering new which are a bit pricey so no immediate plans for sure!
it maybe best to just paint the ones I have black and keep at it whenever they get scuffed again from taking them off

Pull the upper and lower and even lower intakes off and get ready to replace both sensors and the sub harness. Just get an intake gasket kit, saves money over buying all 4 individually. Good time to see if your heater pipe in the valley is leaking too

Nightmare to get to them(not really thought) Usually harness degradation or the center pipe has leaked coolant into the valley of your engine

Clean them both with a wire brush, and then you can't tell them apart. Give 'em a dose of antiseize and they won't rust again.

i wouldn't necessarily call that rusty since its not flaky and crumbly?
just some discoloration oxidation of whatever they are made of
some of it did wipe off with some WD40 and rag
i am very anxious to hit the hardware store tomorrow and go shopping for a rubber washer or something of the sorts to cushion it from vibrating if it will no longer bolt down all the way

you should see what that antiseize did to my fuel shield bolts
there is nasty goopy goop under there now where i did that!
and it has not even seen its first winter to check the powder coat durability
