Ah, didnt see another one of my ignored fans comment.

Doubtful it will blow, but if it does, I use my AAA to get to a shop and a rebuild the gears, easy peasy. Gone through enough Toyota diffs to know and hear the signs of one failing. Plus its ECGS so I'm sure they'll honor a warranty if anything does happen. Again, doubtful anything I do will cause it to fail, but if it does, well, you gotta pay to play, and I dont mind paying.

Did you modify the lip to accept the 930 boot? if so would you happen to have a link? Kartech has multiple 930 boots.....

Yes I did modify it. I can’t remember the exact boot. This was years ago.

Its this one. 14 bolts are heavyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! Dana 60 is a bigger than 9" yet smaller than the 14 bolt and ECGS makes them so they are a true bolt in unlike the dynatrac.

ahh, so you did get the 60? dont think you will be breaking that one lol.
14bolts arnt bad once you ditch the drums and shave it. you get the ground clearance of a 9" and a FF setup :D I put one in my fj and love it. that 3rd bearing for the pinion is slick\
a 9" can be made as strong as a 60 but will cost $$

Yeah he got a 60, ECGS started doing complete bolt ins eariler this year, they make them for the 4runners too now. What's nice is they got all the bracketry etc that is stock so just swap your brakes over and bam in it goes.

I'd love to stick a diamond axle 9" under my truck. 9" aren't that pricey since that is what circle track racing and drag racing uses there are a million companies out there making stuff for them plus the gear ratio assortment for them and widths etc is unreal. I've dreamed of putting a 9" IFS housing under the front too that would be pretty damn slick.

On my old circle track car it was a FF 9 :D

Currie enterprises make a fabricated Ford 9 rear end with toyota ends. All ya really gotta do is weld on your shock mounts get the driveshaft reworked to fit the ford 9 yoke and your ready to go. Nice thing is currie will make it any width you want. The customization of it is almost endless. You can get the housing from Currie and order the 3rd member from ECGS since they are a bit cheaper than Curries 3rds but still get the ECGS warranty with it. I'm lookin at about $4800 out the door for what I want between the housing from Currie and a 3rd from ECGS.

I'm looking at setting up some limit straps in the front. Does anyone have a clevis mount they like? Something to attach the mounting clevis to the frame.

Trail gear makes some. I got these at Kartek but it was just cuz I was there. Might save if you price shop. Poly performance sells them too I believe. I like them for working on the truck so I can shorten the droop length and not have to get sketchy with my jack / jack stands. They’re set to keep the shocks from limiting droop at the longest setting so I can shorten them when they stretch. Don’t mind the jam nuts right now.

I’ve been going back and forth between canti and bed cage. At this point I plan on having two spares in the bed so canti doesn’t have much benefit. I’ve got tons of 1 3/4 and a welder so I think I can build a bolt in low pro cage. In the end it won’t limit my uses of the truck.

My only hang up with the F9 is you’re limited on selectable lockers available. ARB is the only choice. The OX locker makes the 60 attractive. Non issue for most.
The 3rd makes the Ford attractive.
