Tell me more about this system! I’m big into audio, though I really only know home audio. Car audio seems like a whole different world for some reason. But I’d like to upgrade the system in my Taco too and I’d love some input on good components and whatnot. I will say that the stock systems that come in vehicles these days are far and away better than what used to come stock.

Thanks, man! I’m having a ball doing it too! I’m from Huntsville, by the way. Just right up the road from ya.

I agree! Some vehicles just look cheap with black accents. Not Tacos, and especially not the MGM Tacos. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. You never really know how it’s gonna look until it’s done. Can’t wait for the wheels tomorrow. And yeah, I left all the chrome on the inside too. It seems appropriate there.

    Small world indeed!

I plan on it! I’ve been lurking on this forum ever since January, but I’d like to start being active on it. I think I’ll be to a personally acceptable benchmark after the new wheels are on it tomorrow to where I’ll feel it spiffy enough to snap some “glamour shots”. I may even try to get all artsy-fartsy with it and find a nice backdrop for it. I took this this morning at our pond:
    D00D63DF-E17A-4B64-BC3D-157E7D34940E.jpg
It’d be cool to get a pic of the truck with a background like that (would obviously need some more light). May even get the dog in the pic like all the cool kids are doing. I dunno that I’ll get the same cool-points for it seeing as how he’s a 12lb poodle mix, but he’s the love of my life after my wife and before my truck and has been for 11 years, so I don’t really care!

    Gate/Garage Door Opener .. Homelink:

Installed one of these on my gate and followed the instructions to program the Homelink buttons on the Tech package rear view mirror to open the driveway gate (works for garage door openers too).

I also cut some black vinyl @rrentrop to cover the annoying green light on the rear view mirror (sorry for the bad pics):

Oh ya, I also blacked out the JBL logo:

Whole bunch of stuff in my garage
I'm from Texas, don't have any desire to move back. My job is here and it's worth it to my wife and me to stay put right where we are. That being said, we understand the market here vs. other areas, and we're willing to save a bit more. All of that to say, I wouldn't complain if homes were in the $100k range!

Didn't really get any rain yet...but from what I see the cover seals well..there is a little light peeking in from the front two corners of the bed. They do provide two foam pads to add to the bulkhead rail but there looks to be a tiny gap underneath where they sit. Noting some weatherstripping cant fix. For the price and ease of operation...it's worth it i believe. The last cover I had was an Access roll up that cost me around $500.
