Anybody do it? Thinking about it but I'm not sure of everything it involves (drilling, welding, fab, leaf spring compatibility). Looking to gain some track width for the rear of my truck but I have no idea how this axle swap goes. I know a lot of people have done it but I'm curious as to what it entails...

New perches, maybe brake lines set up, make sure you have the right gear ratio.

Good point. Didn't think about the gear ratio. Thanks for the input!

I think a lot of tundras came with 4.10’s just like Tacoma’s, so not a big deal

I have it, many guys have done it. T100 is the sane axle too. New perches and shock mounts, iam long travel so all that had to be new for the spring under. Well worth it.

It’s not exactly a popular mod, at least I don’t hear about it too often. Most people I see who end up doing some custom axle set up end up with danas or rock assaults or somehing.

If you just want more track width, just get some spacers.

Yup I did this cut old perches off weld new ones on. Most people that do it go for spring under I stayed spring over axle. You will have to get the ebrake cable with the tundra axle and find a way to connect it to your Tacoma I used random parts I had laying around my shop. Brake line is the same. Not sure on the load proportioning valve as I had already deleted that and installed a manual valve with a knob.
