Yeah. You just don’t have to connect to the locking mechanism

I'll try taking some pics of the dremel and bit set that I got.
Hopefully they will be useful, I used some bits in ways they were originally not intended to be used as, to get my results.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I did the same thing when I was making my mirrors. A couple of tips I thought I wouldn't use were used a lot.

You notice I didn’t use a 3M Tap like I provide in my Kit as I have the correct tools to be able to De-pin the Connector, remove the OEM Terminal, and Crimp and New OEM Terminal with the White Wire attached to the OEM Wire. However, not many people have this option. Therefore, I made the Kit the only way I could at the time which was for people to be able to tap that ACC Wire with a 3M Waite Tap. However, I have now found the BEST Solution for EVERYONE!!!!! I had to add some wires as you can see with the match-up photos here I have posted. I want to make sure every model Truck is covered. There will be a through-n-through wire for each pin location in the Harness whether you need it or not. It will not hurt to have it. You just will not use it if you don’t have the feature for your truck. No big deal. It will make it more Universal. Also, depending on the Truck that purchases the Kit, I will just adjust the pin location of the White Wire but I believe everyone is in the same location which makes it nice. I will obviously double check everything. But here you have the last piece of my Wiring Harness Puzzle. :bananadance:

DSC_1978-01.jpg So these are the Dremel Bits that I used to cut out the rectangle for the fold switch.

I drilled 3 large holes first, forgot the size, then sanded everything down to shape.
Lots of masking tape, cannot stress this enough, the bits will catch on the plastic and run wild.

As for the dremel, I bought the new ryobi portable dremel from homedepot.
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Cordless-Rotary-Tool-P460/308176530
It also comes with all the necessary dremel bits.

The puddle light assembly from the 4runner's mirror fits on a Tacoma's mirror?

DOES That mean I can have TWO Meso Puddle lights per side!?

Aren't the mirrors for a highlander, 4runner and certain RAV4s the same?
    There is still HOPE.
    Sooo they are swappable(spelling?)?
    Plug and play?

May the lord have mercy on the poor soul parking next to me.

2EA352D1-0787-4518-9B20-91A31575A5DC.jpg I just wanted to find out, so i came across a 14/16 mirror on eBay used. Not a bad price, after taking it apart i found out it would work with other aftermarket mirrors i had and it works. You may be right about the other mirrors, i only tried the Highlander

So after looking around for a while,
I found that the 2019 RAV4s come with the same mirror assembly as the Tacomas, except for the hinge.
The RAV4 Limiteds come with Power Mirrors, Puddle Lights and a Camera.

Further down, the Japanese Toyota Alphard share the same mirrors also, but with the reverse tilt function included.

So does that mean we could purchase a 2019 Rav4 mirror, change out the hinge with the one on our Tacos and then would have the ability to have the power folding mirrors, puddle lights and side cameras....Oh, and would the Meso signals also fit in there? Interesting......

If it is the mirrors from a 2019 RAV4 Limited, then heated power outside mirrors with turn signal and blind spot warning indicators, folding feature and puddle lights are standard.
Then the 360 camera comes with the tech package.

The puddle lights are in the same place as the 4runner/highlander, so you can switch those out for Meso puddles lights.

If we can source Toyota Alphard or Lexus LM mirrors, then it be previous mentioned features plus mirror tilt on reverse.

So lets say we do not need the tilt function, the power mirrors we received from Katie already have fold, heat and BSM. And you have Meso's Ultimate or LE turn signals.
But you want an extra puddle lights and a camera.
Then all you need is the bottom black trim from the 2019 RAV4 Limited.
Swap out, and MacGyver together a wire harness.
