    Good morning all.

    Don’t have pics but...

    Driving home last night w the Mrs. Trying to give myself ample time to watch a certain football game, about 6:15 with the sun intermittently in our eyes. Two lane highway, speed limit 55. I was doing a bit faster than that when I see what looks to be a Newfoundland dog clawing his way up from the culvert under the guardrail.

    I jam on my brakes about 10 feet from him, look in my rear view mirror to see if we’re going to get hammered, and out pops a big, I mean big black bear. I couldn’t believe it fit under the guardrail. He bounces with his fur jiggling across to the other side. I wait for a bit to see if there’s any cubs/adolescents following and there were none.

    It was pretty impressive. We’ve had bears in our neighborhood and on our porches. Nice to be reminded we’re not on top of the food chain every once and a while.

    Indy is enormous. The 500 is still considered the largest single day crowd for any regularly scheduled sporting event. They get over 200,000 (well over) on race day. They have seating and parking that just sprawls all over the place...

    NASCAR, not so much. Attendance is falling everywhere. Not even Bristol sells out any more.

    Anyway...Indy....U.S.Nationals last weekend, now Brickyard 400,
