funny thing, a couple years ago I had a ladder stand up and put up some camo looking burlap around the edge to break up the human silhouette...I get to my stand a few days later and its all tore up! I was like wth! so as Im getting closer to the stand a stupid squirrel runs off up the tree with a big bunch of burlap in its mouth!!

never had issue with the bears, also thats what my target animal is that I'm hunting off the stand, but squirrels...yeah they need to die. Im excited to see when my bait will get hit, it was quite above average temps till yesterday...so that theoretically should have the bears moving around more...

they are a worthy adversary;) Just something about them, I like to hunt them. Plus keeping the bear numbers in check will save on the deer and elk also.

Also, I know about getting out into the woods. I have woods and a nice hill/mt behind me. I fully enjoy having any number of different game animals within 3 miles of me. deer/elk/moose/mt lion/bobcat/bear. Sometimes they are in my backyard;)

I read somewhere that black bear are the second most prolific game animal in North America next below whitetail deer. Fish and Game here wont give a good number of bears in Idaho but they have plenty of tags so they arent too scarce;) Some guy I know was talking about some neighbor of his said there was a 500-600lb black bear getting into their chickens...but thats really unheard of here as far a bear being that big, I dont know if I believe him;). 150-250lb is about the average of good sized bears here.

Got the deer rack out this morning, hope to use it this afternoon. Ask my buddy at powdercoat to paint it, he ask what color, I said I want people to be able to see it.

Drug the deer winch out as well. Made it offset so I can let the tailgate down and also pull the trailer if needed. It folds out of the way and swivels 360 degrees. Also attached is a picture of it in use last year on my old truck.
