I doubt it, alot of dealers will autopopulate allocated / in transit vehicles, if it doesnt sell before they can snag pictures after delivery being one of the first 2020s looks like you should start seeing them / deliveries by the end of the month.

My truck has officially been ordered and allocated! A 2020 Cement OR DCSB 6MT with LED headlights, Tech Package and Blackout Package. ETA 10-26 to 11-10. MSRP $38,125.

FYI - ordering a truck without Premium Pack and with 6MT will yield delivery times in the 8-10 week range.

Thanks I'm really excited. As much as I love my 2nd gen, its about time for an upgrade.

I've already instructed the dealer to not do any prep - this includes no wash/wax, removal of plastic on the seats, steering wheel, NAV screen cover and so forth. They'll do a PDI, fill it up with gas and present it to me - I'm sure its not the story book delivery they or some might want, but its exactly how I want it.

The only other option I'm considering is Katzkins. The dealer subs it out to a 3rd party who does really good work. I can get a dark graphite seat with cement/slate grey stitching which might look really good.

Out of all those decisions the best one by far was to go with the manual transmission.

Congratulations. Minus the blackout package, this is my exact build, too. Guess I need to go have a sit down with my dealer.

So is the blackout package just the badge overlays, tailgate insert, and exhaust tip? Or does it include extra stuff like the blacked out head- or taillights like comes with the Pro? Has there been an official breakdown of what it entails?

Just ordered a Camry with the blackout package for my Mom. It came with the emblems and exhaust tips only. Not sure if this will carry over to the Tacoma.

It is the same on the Tacoma. Is it expensive at $415? Yes, but I just didn't want to deal with putting on my own overlays, lining up the tailgate decal, etc.

I'm curious... going back to the discussion some folks were having a few days ago, what were your interior color choices?

From what I saw on my dealer's build website:

    1. Black leather with graphite trim if you get the premium package
    2. Cement cloth (which again my dealer ASSURES me is charcoal, and showed me a '19 with the same interior color code and its definitely charcoal)
    3. Black cloth with orange stitching and orange trim on the lower dash and half the door panels (It looked awful in the pics I saw). This might be only for select Tacoma OR colors, cannot confirm 100%

There was NO option for regular Black cloth with graphite trim.

I'm planning on getting the same configuration, but with premium package, tonneau cover and mud guards too. Production date of 9/17 and I'm stoked. Never owned anything newer than 1998 in my life. I think MSRP came out to about $42,700 or so on the one I'm getting.

I'm the same way about dealer prep. I'll probably tell them to skip the clean-up, but I don't mind them removing the shipping protection or anything.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can I ask why you’re foregoing the dealer prep?

Its just a personal preference/neurotic thing for me. Think of it as kind of like an unboxing/unwrap. Additionally, I know from day one who's washed it and who's waxed it (me) - its a way to level set from the very beginning. Using a specific example - I don't want the dealership getting wax all over the textured flares in which case I'll be annoyed, then have to remove it. It doesn't mean I won't get the truck dirty, but I want to have everything in my care from day 1.

They still stick you with the fees for handling right?

Goddamn Nissan dealer swirled the paint on my new Maxima a few years back with their shitty non-touchless car wash. The less the dealer touches my car, the happier I am.
