I haven't been around for a while until today....
Hoping for a minimum of 150 hp/tq and NO TURBO LAG.
My wife's NX Fsport has terrible lag when you punch it. If you gradually apply the pedal, it's ok.

Would prefer a supercharger but am excited to see what OVtune releases.

I couldn’t find the Orig post quoted here asking for a tester with a very heavy weighted down rig....

But if that’s a serious request my camper weighs in at 1100lbs, i have a full set of Skids and Sliders... Tacoma’s don’t really get any heavier than this.

The whole reason I’ve been following this thread is gain power for my weighted down rig.

Should be noted my truck isn’t my daily but I can drive it as little or as much as needed.

Toyota doesn't do special orders. Not the way that other manufacturers do. With other manufacturers like Ford and such, you say I want this, this, and that, and they'll make it and get it to you. With Toyota, you submit what you want within possible criteria and then your dealer will try to find it at other dealers or if they're unsuccessful, you wait until something that matches what you want comes off the assembly line, and then various accessories that you also wanted get added once it hits port. That's why there's such long wait times reported for people getting exactly what they want.

this is what ive heard too. im more than happy with ny 1st gen but id like a 6mt truck. only way id get a 3rd gen would be if its voodoo blue. the trd is a huge rip off especially here in canada ($15000 option) and i plan on changing shocks out and adding 35s and stuff anyways.

You can "order" a truck through Toyota as long as what you order is something that is offered. You can't special order in the sense that you can mix and match options that aren't already offered in one of their packages.

Example would be how back in the 1st gen days, you could only get a 6lug Tacoma with a manual transmission if you got a 4x4. 98- 04 Prerunners were all automatic, and so were all 1st gen double cabs. You couldn't go to a dealer or call Toyota and say "I want a double cab manual trans 2wd, take my money"

Yup exactly. There’s no “special” orders. You are just picking from the available options and the dealer is getting that as their allocation for you or trading with another dealer.

That is not what mZiggy seems to be saying. It sounds to me like he's saying if you want a cement TRD Sport AC 4x4 and they're not making those until November, there is no way they're going to build it before November.

However, that is quite off topic for this thread.

Really the only things that are somewhat limited are the MT and the pros. Everything else is pretty much constant. It's also possible to get placed into the build queue, but thats a bit more difficult. I've gone through the process twice now because apparently I only want things that are difficult to acquire.

That's what I did. Sales manager went through the process with me to get it in the build que. Pretty simple. Just had to wait a few months. Done.
