Heck yeah man! Yeah blue looks cool but puts out way less usable light. White was a no brainer for me needing to see rocks and snakes in the desert. This is in the SE valley. Gilbert/queen creek/San tan valley

If you’re a headlight junkie you’ll appreciate this. Here’s my headlights cutoff next to a nice Infiniti (which are known to have very good quality headlight projectors). Mine are better and I only spent $150 on the retrofit.

 

How many miles do expect out of those tires? Not bad for 5 though.

Thank you sir! If I get 30k miles out of them I’ll be happy and that should be plenty doable. I don’t buy tires for how long they will last. I rotate every 5k with my oil changes and I’m sure they’ll last me at least 30k. I run them at about 30psi on road

 

Since I’m finally getting some traffic in here. Let me share something I figured out the other day.

At this point when running 35s, you can't be too concerned with gas mileage or tire life. As long as they don't burn up in 10k miles, they'll work for what I want at least. 30k would be plenty though for a good MT.

 

I have had a clunk coming to a stop and starting again when I start moving forward. It was so annoying and been around for over a year. Just a very subtle but noticeable shifting-type clunk almost like a basketball was in the bed of my truck but it felt like it was in the drivetrain.


It was my slip yolk. It was bone dry. I purchased some

$17 FORD XG-8 PTFE Lubricant - 3 oz.

FORD XG-8 blue frosting lube from Amazon, pulled my driveshaft and lubed the male and female ends of my slip yolk and it’s like my truck is a 2020 tacoma offf the lot. The clunk is 100% gone and start/stop is so smooth now. Slip yolks aren’t designed to be run dry apparently. Barely took me an hour with taking my time matching the driveshaft with marks and cleaning the slip yolk really well before applying the lube.

 

Just wanted to share in case anyone had a similar problem. SUCH San easy fix to a very annoying thud/clunk.

Agreed completely. MPG and tire longevity aren’t things I built my truck for. Quite the opposite actually. Hahaha. They’ll DEFINITEY last more than 10k miles

DT or Amazon has the best prices I’ve seen. Another member and good friend has them on his they are hella quiet for being a MT and traction is no issue. He got his on amazon IIRC.
