Have not had time yet. How hard can it be? It is a flat surface. Great place to learn. Keep it wet, position, blade out the excess snot. I watched the techs do the front of my Taco at Xpel corporate install center in San Antonio. They are true experts, made it look much easier than it probably is.

The OEM plastic is only like 25 bucks. Just put in a new one.

OMG. I didn't think of that! The obvious escapes me. And the second one won't scratch, right? Yeah. And another. And another. Coat it, once, and be done with it.

here is mine. The all black is to little for me. I needed color. It is a love it or hate it color combo but you can do whatever colors you want.

Not to get too off topic from the main thread, but that all looks great! I'm curious about the door panels you did. How'd you go about that? I know they're plastic welded to the main door panel, but I hate the look and feel of the stock material and would like to redo it as well

Those plastic posts were the biggest pain about the job. By the last door panel I used a soldering iron to melt them over and back onto themselves. They are hollow so open up the center first so you know where the middle is. To reattach either melt the plastic back over or use short course thread screws and washers. Be careful not to open the middle up to much or there will not be enough material to use to reattach the panels. Damn I should’ve done a video.

No worries man thanks. This thread is getting off topic and I don’t want to keep going with it. I will be posting a video of how I did the panels soon. I just got a 1st gen door panel and a harbor freight plastic welder. I am going to remove a piece from it and reattach.

Has anyone successfully ordered one of these lately? I just called and the parts guy I spoke to said there’s not a single part in the country, and there’s 38 on backorder. He said there was supposed to be 45 being shipped to California but no ETA

This is not directly related, but my truck is at the dealership now, and I had noticed some dust had blown by the trip odometer button/dial, whatever it is, I’ve never used it. Regardless has anyone else who takes their truck off road had dust inside of their gauge cluster? Toyota head tech is trying to say its performing as designed and is therefore not fixable under warranty.
