Hello gentlemen glad to be a part of this wonderful site

Our brand new access cab SR5 blower motor speed fluctuates greatly depending upon a few conditions .... When it is on the two lower settings and the speed changes on its own up and down greatly if I turn the A/C off it operates normal no matter the speed setting

If I turn it to full it runs as expected at full speed

Is this normal I think not ? I really hate the idea of a stealership tech tearing into my brand new dash if it is something as simple as a blower motor or fan resistor I may just buy it myself to keep from scratching up the interior

    Check out this thread-
    Wooshing noise from AC

Also check search for Darth Vader sound. Wonder if your experiencing the same concern?

I know I'm jumping to conclusions here .... I am taking it by the dealer today to get it listened to and documented ..... Between this very annoying sound and the transmission shifting style it's going to take some getting used to if this is what's considered to be normal traits for this truck
    Amazing looking truck otherwise

Jeez, give em a chance to make it right. You only hear the bad stories, we all have them. No body goes on the net to tell everyone their loveydovey "my dealership service department took care of me" kind of story.

Yes sir you are correct I over exaggerate sometimes
The price they charge for these trucks should reflect the same build quality I am just disappointed to get off to a bad start within the first 200 miles

Absolutely make the dealer fix it. The good news is that the blower motor is in the glove compartment, if it's that.

Stopped in one if the local OKC dealers and had a service advisor listen as well as the service manager both said they have never head if this in any other vehicle.... And no TSB for this yet ... I wanted them to go for a ride or have a tech go for a ride but they stated they are too busy today and scheduled me a test ride along for Friday ......
I don't want to rush to judgement just yet but the look on their faces said this was going to be one of those situations where the noise is considered normal

For what it's worth, mine does not make any strange noises, and runs steady where I set it.

My 2019 does the same thing. Sounds like the a/c speeds up and slows down. Same thing, on the lower two settings. I haven’t taken it in and not sure if I plan to. I read far into it and it is common between many vehicle manufacturers. I don’t think it’s a functionality issue, just an annoyance from what I’ve read. Good luck and let us know.

I do know that when you turn on the A/C that the recycled air comes on as well. That automatically speeds up the fan. Do not know if that is what you are hearing or not.

Nope. Every couple min there is a surge of air almost. Speeds up and slows down.

I don't think the HVAC systems are designed to make the cab as quiet as a sound recording studio, if the sound Decibels of having the AC on disturb you that much to the point of mental anxiety you should get professional mental help
