For sure not saying it's safe by any means, nicotine raises your blood pressure and over time has ill effects on your cardiovascular system. I just mean as far as lung cancer is concerned, with smoking it's the carcinogens from inhaling all those burning chemicals, and now with vaping it seems to be coming from the unregulated oils and stuff they're putting in them

One of the big problems with the vaping industry is its not regulated by the FDA and most of what they're using in that stuff hasn't been researched to see the long term effects. Now people are finding out the hard way

Yup. Corn starch based glue. Yeah it is a really interesting process of manufacturing. Our machines are ancient, yet still run paper with the best of them. Although it can be a hot, miserable, and muggy work environment during the summer with all the steam in the air.

I remember when vaping was relatively new and most places hadn't come out with bans on doing it on premises...I would go to the gym here in town and there'd be a handful of people vaping while they were working out on the machines lol.

People would hot box the welding class room and then they’d go hide in the booth and use the vents

I remember this guy (such a damn tool) that walked around the showroom floor, vaping, saying how it's ok because it's not smoking etc.

We didn't even say anything until we saw puffs of smoke and heard him ranting to himself.

Yeah I think its hilarious that its starting to show some negative effects. All these years that theyve been saying its 100% safe to inhale smoke/vapor into your lungs, and what Ive always believed is finally coming to light.

yeah it takes a special guy of douche to think that it's still OK to do that around other people just because there are no signs saying explicitly not to. It stinks and it's intrusive on others

What about the other ill effects of vaping; you remember people having their vapes blow up? Discharging their batteries at unsafe levels and their 18650's blowing up.

    My Streamlight's and Nitecore's use 18650's :(

Yeah that's been in the news every now and then for awhile, people buying cheap vape pens from overseas that would overheat and explode.

Makes you have $2 less in your pocket lol unfortunately in socal I chose to buy filtered water in 5 gallon jugs. The shit that comes out of the faucet scares me.

I never drink water from the faucet, but it did look a lot better when I lived in so-cal (San Clemente) compared to here.

Only place I do is at my cabin by Yosemite. At home in san diego there is a ton of extras that sink to the bottom when the water settles. I would have thought Monterey county has good water, but I wouldn't really know.

When I lived in Santa Barbara the water that came out of our faucet was straight yellow, it was nasty

Yeah we let it sit in a jug and you could see the different shades of yellow, darker toward the bottom then lighter toward the top lol. It was an older apartment building so it may have had more to do with old pipes in the building, I don't know. But our house here in Monrovia we'll drink the tap water. Usually I buy water from TJs but if we're out then I don't hesitate to drink tap.
