People can be assholes. Sucks you have to deal with clowns like that. I'd call a waaaaahmbulance for them to assist with their great distress.

Just installed your plug n play harness. Great product and very easy to install. I received the harness in about 2-3 wks considering shipping to Canada, which was expected. Looks like demands for your product has increased but people should know quality products takes time to make. keep up the good work Katie.

Katie makes great products that work, but she does have a life outside what she builds and sells to us. She should not have to deal with impatient customers. When you purchase from a small company like Katie or MESO, you get quality products but often it takes a while. Both are worth the wait. If you need fast responses, then shop elsewhere. But I have received faster feedback from Katie than 95% of the larger companies and I know what she tells me is fact, not necessarily true for most other dealers. So as I ramble, forgive me but I feel we owe Katie and probably MESO an apology for being impatient. So Katie, I love your products for my Taco and never mind waiting for quality. I apologize for the impatient customers and ask that you ignore them. Publish their threats and we will respond.

I completely understand that and agree with you. I trust and know in good faith they work diligently and will do right. I know it wasn't directed at me, my comment was toward the people just whining about wait times. Quality takes time. Learn to be patient when it's specialty items.

Installation question? I already have a Pop-n-Lock installed and I ordered the Bolt-n-Open add on package. Do I also need to order a opener module from @DSIM ?

Key Fob Functionality (3x Unlock), Push Button Functionality (With B-Harness), Interlocks to prevent dropping while not in park, and quick enable/disable (valet mode).

Yes you need the module for these features. Two left in stock, currently working on building up the next batch.

I apologize if I missed this, but I didn’t see it on the thread (a lot to sift through!) but how loud is the actuator for the tailgate unlock? Is it that loud that you need to install dynamat? I noted some use that when installing these locks. Thanks!

I used my own actuator and I put sound deadener just because I was doing the doors also. Might be slightly louder than the doors. But, like it’s been mentioned, it’s nice the you can hear it locking/unlocking .

    Edit: Welcome to Tacomaworld

Some people can be real dicks! Waiting 2 weeks is nothing, i was on the original list of Power Folding mirrors back in February, now I am on the new list this time around and it is almost ready for the masses. For the complainers, i would just refund their money and dont allow them to buy anymore products from you. See if they can get these anywhere else!

Oh, and you should have your own black list posting of your own.....so everyone knows who these people are so we can avoid selling to them also! I bet they are 3rd gen forum newbees.

I have to agree; real ASSH***S. Isn’t that part of the Forum rules Don’t Threaten someone. Like others have said don’t do business with the Aholes
I was also on folding mirror mod back in March we all stuck in out with Katie, knowing she was doing what she could to make sure everyone had what they needed to make the new Mod happen. At the same time working on other mods like the tailgate opener. Katie i for one appreciate your help and knowledge. Thank you very much

I did the same kit above. Takes a morning, about three hours. I soldered, no scotch locks in my install. Hardest part of the install is routing the cable. Taco Twonz did a video on this and I followed their lead...no regrets. Loving the control locking the tail gate too.
