    The TSS radar is held on to the grill by 1 screw and 2 hex bolts.... the garnish is separate and attaches to the grill not the radar itself. The radar is the same deal, it attaches to the grill with 3 total screws not to the garnish, and they wont come off... you have nothing to worry about.

    As far as the limited testing I've been able to do, I can't tell a difference. I am offering both because more options are better but I run an aftermarket version on mine, so far no issues.

    There's one reason why I think this may hve happened...
    when you remove the radar from the original grill, there are two threaded inserts that you need to transfer into the new grill as well, they are the ones that the two hex bolts attach to. I don't have a picture handy or else I would show you...

    I already had a really nice looking grille from another vendor but his tss bracket and the way it mounted to the grille was not good. I really was trying to avoid a pro grille but in the end I decided it is better looking than the cheese grater and the TSS mounts pretty much like it did to the factory grille. So I am getting a nicer looking grille than the cheese grater that I can drive around with confidence knowing the TSS sensor won't fall off. And at half the price of the other grille.

    which LED's did you use for the grill? I just installed my grill last night super happy with how it turned out. Grill is a great fit and looks just as good as the OEM part. Now I need to get the LED's for the grill lol.

    What do you mean that it doesn't do anything?

    I was at Toyota yesterday and they confirmed that they would not complete the service if it was not on an OEM grill.

    I had oem grill on they put a rubber piece over it so water dose not touch it. That's the recall. I put it on new grill and to me it looks like it does nothing.
