I wear crushable hats because they travel better but they definitely don't look as good.

I love my cowboy hats, wish it wasn't "weird" to wear them in Dallas. Ugh, city folk :anonymous:

Get ya a hot, blonde female mannequin to ride in the passenger seat. She could wear your hat and give you free ride in the HOV lane. #UnethicalLifeProTips

Something tells me that the mannequin might hinder my chances of finding a real, hot blonde female. Worth it for the HOV discounts though

I know this was a while back, but I was perusing this thread and decided to introduce myself after seeing the posts about our flood in Nashville. That Tacoma had been repainted recently to a near-Cement color. It was pretty sharp. I’m almost certain he replaced it with another Tacoma as my wife saw his in one the other day.

As for me, I’m Will. I live in Nashville and work in Murfreesboro. I’ve had a few 3rd gen 4Runners along the way and I am trying to decide between a 2020 4Runner or Tacoma. Or maybe a 4th gen V8 4Runner. I’m all over the place, I just know I love Toyotas. I grew up in a 2nd gen 4Runner and my parents currently have a 2004 Tacoma crew cab and a 2009 Tacoma reg cab.

Ive been a long time lurker and I’m glad to finally be acquainted with some fellow Arkansas folks.

Welcome Will! Word of note - don't become known as "hats on the dash" guy unless you want to get berated by some of these guys. :duel::rofl: Haha!

But, as far as your new ride decision and based on your username, I can say from my experiences that it's been nice having my taco when going duck hunting. Hunting public, I'm always stowing mine and different people's gear in the bed, depending on the day. I do have a softopper on mine that helps keeping it my stuff from getting rained on and as frozen. But, that might not even be a need depending on if/what/where you hunt. I prefer the taco myself, but that's just me.

    Yeah.
Welcome! We loved our V8 4Runner, now my daughter loves it. It's staying in the family for sure -- an '06 with 70K miles on it, may have it long enough to get buried in it. It's 2WD though, so not to interesting to folks around here.

I need to count my Toyotas.

No worries there. If there’s ever one on my dash, it’s going on my head as soon as I get out!

The Tacoma makes the most sense, I have just always loved 4Runners. I have always had pickups (full size) and have finally admitted to myself that I don’t HAVE have one around, so now it’s time for something fun. I’ll have to weather this duck season in the 04 Pathfinder I’m currently running (sold my last F150 in January), so this will tell me pretty quick if a 4Runner will work or not!

    Thanks for the welcome!

 Millwood is full of Mallards, you must stay busy. Know of some good trails and dispersed camping in the SW area. We spend most of our trail time in the central mountains, a trip to the rugged SW sounds like fun. Keep in touch.

Growing up, we hunted Millwood HARD. okay Landing, Jack’s Isle, Cottonshed.. we did it all. The lake is so silted in anymore and there’s so much vegetation that it’s very difficult to hunt without a mud boat. We like the White Cliffs area on Little River and sometimes motor in to the back side of the lake.

I’ve explored a little around Shady Lake and Bard Springs up to Hopper. The ONF is a fantastic place. Thanks for the welcome!

Yup! I remember being the Lone Ranger back in the day when I had my Jeep. We’re just almost neighbors.

Pic is from manufacturer of the rack. I'd like to get a hat similar to that but they just don't travel well and I've been spending a lot of time on the road lately.
