It is the software version (calibration) of your ECU. When Toyota releases a TSB that is what they are updating if it is ECU related.

Doesn't matter for you, the 04B04 and less are the ECU's for the 2016 and 2017 year Tacoma's. Since you have a 2019 your ECU will have a different number. It takes a while to figure it out but you will catch on quickly!

Yes Sir, it seems like it's going to be money well spent.

I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world, so doing the download/install is VERY intimidating to me, but perhaps my old self can figure it out, LOL

Thanks for being patient with a noob.

Its true as long as you keep your truck stock. For a heavily modified vehicle 2.0 will be the one to wait for.

I was a bit scared too, but its very simple. There is a video guide that shows you pretty much everything to do step by step so it's hard to mess up!

And perhaps with some issues you didn’t know you had. But hey, it’s TW and like any family we’re a bit dysfunctional at times but don’t let that discourage you.

Not really. I believe the 2018 was fully supported in that version.

@OVTune - let me know if it's "nunya", but do you have a change log between the different beta versions?

No. That’s how you get bias feedback.

Yeah, we have enough non-sense feedback without needing biased feedback to mush things up more.

We took the trailer up to the mountains over the weekend. Overall an elevation gain of about 8300 feet. The truck towed better with 35s and loaded down with glamping crap than it had ever done before. With gearlock I was able to maintain 65mph in 5th and 4th gear for the entire trip. Trans and engine temps were much cooler as well due to keeping RPMs down in the 2500-3500 range. Definitely one of the most useful mods on my truck!!!

No, it was 1.05 performance gearlock. I'm a newer customer and didn't download the 4.88 specific tune when it was available.

Buy the tablet turner version. It will be way easier than the pc version, if you’re not tech savvy. I think it’s the same price.
