Looks like people are getting caught up with short-term renting like Airbnb's. 4 felonies handed out this summer. If you look at the map it's paaaaaacked with short-term rentals. No way are all those full time residents. Wack. I wonder what the impact of the housing market it has? Especially since businesses are getting permits for it

I think all of us know the answer to this one.

 

Sounds like a lot of people getting busted are in real estate or related profession, and are gaming the system. I'd imagine the "corporations" renting out Airbnbs are a similar story. Definitely not helping Denver be any more affordable.

I also read an article about an initiative on the next ballot (initiative 122) which will limit residential housing growth along all Front Range counties to 1%.

Theg behind it says he's tired of overcrowding.... So his solution is to make housing even less affordable.

 

First thing we need to do for all future election is make the threshold much higher on all these "Joe Bob" gov't regulation Initiatives. That's why we elect people not to have us vote every election on 10-20 topics that they were elected to handle.

 

Yes, because Boulder has become oh so affordable since they started limiting growth.
