There is a food smoking thread on here which is pretty active, good place to ask that :)

No right or wrong answer, but most of us have preferences. Heat, meat, and smoke it isn't complicated if you don't want it to be.

Electric smokers you will see MES mentioned a lot it stands for master built smokers. They are popular but not my cup of tea. A higher end electric would be a Smokin-it but they are spendy.

Pellet smokers are the fastest growing segment and you will find many people calling them pellet poopers :p

I like charcoal and use an automatic temperature controller (ATC) to maintain temps

Because when it is teens and twenties below zero I don't enjoy going out and checking temps and making changes.

@Bigdaddy4760 has a real bad smoking habit and likes his wood. And is at the smoking God level.

I use the Weber kettle 1-3 times a week for smaller smokes and use the snake method

Heck you can even use a gasser with pellet tubes to smoke

I'd go on over to the smoking thread and drop that question you will get lots of replies

Many thanks! I am looking to get one that I don't have to babysit. And is relatively easy to clean for someone is my position. I have a barrel cheapo smoker. Its been okay, but it is cheap. Wind blows and the temps go all over the place, cause it is not sealed up tight.

Like Mike said. It's whatever fits you best. I like wood and charcoal for now. Would rather go straight wood but need a cleaner smoke than mesquite and oak is not common here.

For convenience ease of use, electric. Purist/traditionalist will always say charcoal. IMHO, for smoking I don't think charcoal makes a difference. For grilling charcoal makes a difference and is better versus gas grills. For the game meat I cook, I prefer a pan over gas or my blackstone griddle, which is gas heated. My 2¢ FWIW.

    Evening Everyone !!!!! :hattip:

Spent all afternoon in the garage doing some wiring on my Camaro , wired up the 2 step to the transbrake and mounted and wired a very nice transbrake button from Biondo racing

Currently I've got a 3k rpm pill in the 2 step but might got 3400rpm pill

Here's the transbrake button and it's adjustable or delay of .03 hundredths , kinda the same concept as a delay box . I've got it adjusted right now to the fastest release

    Good morning friends...

Welcome @HAVOC to the group. Nice to see another New Englander. There's a test on page 1, post 1. You'll need to post your answers for review... Good luck.
