They have much longer intervals. I'm due for my coolant and plug change though. Just a few more miles (early :)).

$27, you could save that money and spend it on gas to actually go do something fun.... like go camping somewhere with your truck.

$27 over maybe 4 months is negligible, and maybe gets me half a tank of gas. If I really need to save, I can make cuts elsewhere. Most of my time on weekends is spent in the backcountry off-roading or camping, but thanks for the concern. And considering I fall under a more severe service criteria, I’d rather spend that $27 and change it out every 7500 or 5000 miles to my liking, in the comfort of my own garage with beer in hand.

    You do you boo.

I didn't buy my truck so, I could change the oil. I change my oil so, I can drive my truck.

You could spend that $27 on Blackstone so you can identify a problem before it's really a problem.

You can’t camp on $27. You have to fill the propane tanks on the 6 burner stove and disinfect the pull out refrigerator and roof top tent from last years KOA fiasco. It’s at least 50 bucks in cleaning supplies and 300 in craft beer before you can set out.

You don’t mean ACTUAL camp lol. With a real fire. That’s B.A.N.A.N.A.S.

Well it'll buy another 300ish miles to get somewhere cool.

I don’t trust that interval. I have a 2nd Gen 2.7L and Toyota recommends semisynthetic every 5,000 miles. I do full synthetic every 7,500. Mobil 1 is apparently good for up to 10,000.

Lol $27 is nothing and I'll do what I do and drive like I drive. More power to the rest of us.

    Yea but that's my point.

Longer intervals according to the manual, the same manual from the same company that says oil is good to go until 10k.

So why not cut the plug life in half, or the brake fluid, etc...

That was my point, there aren't 100 threads about changing power steering fluid at half the stated timeframe in the manual.

I guess I could just change my engine in about 22,000 miles
I'm going to go change my engine. It's overdue.

Everyone that changes the oil at 5000 miles should give the used oil and filter to someone that changes oil at 10000 miles . Then we can all change every 5000 , and all the oil will get used for 10000 . The 5K guys will foot the bill and the 10 guys get all for free . All are happy including the EPA and CAFE people , Simple !:bananadance:

I ran synthetic Mobil 1 on my 1997 Taco, I did 10K intervals for close to twelve years. I recently sold it with 313,000 miles on the clock...Only interval I violate is ATF fluid flush and fill. Change annually regardless of mileage - never had a transmission problem in twenty years of ownership.

I've heard the Rule 34 version is similar to the Robocop scene 27 remake, but I read that on BITOG, so who knows.
