Totally understand. Might be worth it to change course slightly on your search. While there are a good bunch of shipyards in that area, the Navy and MSC also command a very wide footprint. There are a crapload of government contractors who support those activities as well. With background in plants and industrial construction, I can't see it being too difficult to land something. Best part about this option with your situation is that the government contractors don't force you through USA Jobs, which takes forever. Bypass that with a short timeframe and start making money sooner. Food for thought.

I’ll look into it ! Excited for her deployment to be done lol but I saw y’all have a bunch of coal and conveyor systems and I just so happen to work in a coal plant as maintenance right now so I’m hoping maybe I can hop on in there if possible as well.

Just whatever pays my bills and let’s me see my wife every night cause this whole being deployed shit sucks and I’m ready to make babies lol.

They’re actually the owner of mobtown offroad, which is why they’re up at his shop in DE. I’m just posting them for him. Since he doesn’t have a lot of time to get on here.

I don’t know the answer to flowform. We can find a manufacturing date on the tire and you can do some digging if you like.

Rock rash, let’s assume no. You could touch it up so it’s less obvious but there’s still a little bit of the wheel missing.

Balancing, I’ve never notice it while riding in the truck with him on the highway. That’s just what he told me about them.

Don't quote me on this (even though I am quoting you, lol), but I believe that CSX runs the big coal yards up near Newport News. The coal terminal that is across the river between downtown Norfolk and ODU is run by Norfolk Southern.

Not a problem, happy to help where I can. I'll be back home from work starting in October. Not sure when you are moving, but there was mention previously about a local meet up on October 5th. Decent People Taproom @ noon.

We are about to go into outage mode aka lots of hours at work so I won’t be moving up there until November sometime but I definitely want to meet up and get to know the locals! Gotta make new friends since I’ll be in a new area lol

Looks like a hell of a deal! It's unfortunate that the factory lockers were all removed. I thought the FZJ80 was the one that had front and rear plus a center locking diff? Or am I confused on that?

Are there more pictures? I know it said it needs a headliner and carpet is removed, but what condition is the rest of the interior and seats? Would be a sick trail truck.

If anyone is interested in going to Flagpole this weekend with @EatSleepTacos I am putting together a group ride on Saturday morning.

Details: Meet at the Wawa on W Mercury Blvd in Hampton. Address: https://goo.gl/maps/WHKXRB7UP8J8CwkXA
Leave there at 0600. From there we will meet a few other guys from Old Bay Tacos/RVA. Meet at https://goo.gl/maps/VvSgtBZPuNej3b7b8 around 0930. Then roll from there. I'm wanting to go the Union Springs route, but if enough people want to check out the Switzer Lake route we could take that into consideration. We'll be up there early enough to check plenty of stuff out.
Reply if you're interested! I've also posted in the Facebook group.

Any thoughts in the area on getting rid of some old tube steps? Debating taking them to the dump or scrap dealer, but would like to give them to someone who would actually use them if possible. They're taking up garage space that we won't have anymore upon moving to DC in a week...

Almost time to be part of y’all. Got about a month and half before I move up there (tentatively). Booked my flight to meet my wife when she gets back from her deployment today.

going to start making serious calls and stuff next week. Gonna see if the navy can help find me something or if I can get on as maintenance or a welder somewhere or whatever. Just gotta be able to pay my bills for a few months until her shop gets dry docked for maintenance with whoever gets the bid.

Freaking love VA so it’s always fun coming to visit

So an unfortunate side effect of these new 35s is they take longer to fill up, even with the dual ARB compressor. I'm considering selling it and getting a CO2 set up.

That said, anyone interested in a dual ARB, ARB air hose, and slee offroad mount for a second gen? Mounts it up next to the windshield washer reservoir. Everything you'd need would be included for $600. Just gauging interest.

3 min 30 sec to go from 13 psi to 33 psi so not TOO bad, but I want speeeeeddd!
