Have fun, and stay hydrated! Elevation and 9% humidity get to you quick. Weather looks as good as it can get for this time of year!

Got any specific plans, trails, etc yet?

    Thanks for the tips!

The only specifics is we're staying at one of the BLM campgrounds along 128 the first two days, then I have a site reserved at Dead Horse Point for the next 5.

During this time I'm going to try to hit as much on my homemade map as I can.

If you wander into town and get hungry, Quesadilla Mobilla is the tits

Also, since it is on the way, Hot Tomato Pizza in Fruita, CO is the best pizza I've had in my life. Granny's Pesto is the go to. I make a mtb trip out there at least once a year and 50% of my motivation is a slice post-ride.

Fischer's liquor barn is a good place to stock up on suds and stiffer stuff before coming across the state line as well.

Thanks all. I don't think any of those places are on my places to eat list. I'm going to add them.

As for liquor we're going to finish stocking up before we leave Cincy.
Any tips on beer though? I know Utah has some wonky laws on that and I'd like to have a few while I'm there. My 12 pack of Sam Adams Octoberfest might not make it there lol

The "high point" beer, which is what most people call "regular" is at the state liquor stores. Gas and grocery stores only carry the 4% stuff. All wine and spirits are also at the liquor store. All of it carries a 20% sin tax on the sale.

If you buy a beer at a bar, etc and it is on draft it has to be 4% but if its in a bottle, it can be whatever % they want. That's why a lot of UT bars are just a big beer fridge behind the bartop.

Bars can serve booze all they want, but if you go into an establishment classified as a "restaurant" then it must be accompanied by food.

Honestly, if you've ever lived in the likes of VA, TN or AL/MS, then it is pretty similar

That's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you. I've been to TN several times over the years but didn't really notice anything. Prob because I drink bourbon more and tend to bring it with me.
Looks like I'll have to add Fishers Barn to the stop list!
