Man this fucking modeling agency we used at work once about a year ago can't take a hint that we don't want to use them anymore - keep contacting me about letting them work with us again. I don't mind getting emails, they're easy enough to ignore...but now they're emailing the company CEO and president directly, who are then forwarding them to me asking what's up...some people can't take a hint. Told them more than once we would reach out to them if we needed them. Gonna have to flex my keyboard muscles on this reply

Can’t do it. Only allowed if the car is damaged, which is why they get painted in the first place.

Either way it looks way better in black than stainless. Problem is black is hard to keep clean. But this car is a render, they haven't finished the actual car yet. At least they're pulling the entire interior on the real one right now, the DeLorean innards are super ugly.

 

You can use me as a model if you'd like.

 

Paint is a dealbreaker for me. I probably wouldn’t own one knowing it’s been potentially wrecked before.

The stainless is what makes it special to begin with. Paint it and it’s every other 80’s car till you open the doors.

 

Gullwings are the only reason it isn't just a complete failure. The car already has painted parts anyways with the urethane front and rear pieces and fiberglass louvers.

 

Paint just ruins it for me. The stainless is what makes it iconic. I don't mind seeing a painted one that's concealing collision damage since there isn't any other choice, but otherwise I don't want one.

 

There's another gullwing car you've never heard of that's fallen into obscurity, it's the Bricklin SV-1.

Agree with that part 100%. Unless it's given to me, then it's getting a real drivetrain and chopped to the ground

 

Actually I'd say the movie is the reason it isn't a complete failure today, no one would give a crap about it otherwise. The company folded before the movie came out.

 

Then again, I do want one. Not a painted one though.

Front aftermarket lights aren't even wired up; apparently it's been that way for months. Not to mention an unused smitty bilt winch.

 

The backward facing Hella light on my roof rack hasn't been wired up for months either lol Just never got around to it...I should probably just take it off haha.

In my defense the wiring for it is there, but I used it for the front facing LEDs and haven't put another harness in for the Hella

 

Shipping isn't that expensive. Call Rancho Toyota Truck Parts in Rancho Cordova, CA - one of the biggest Toyota truck scrappers in the country. I've been there once, it's impressive. They shipped me an entire rear axle for $40. Another one is ToyAuto Mart.
